Glenn Grove
Jeffco Hazmat Coordinator

Mr. Grove began working in emergency services in Colorado in 1981 as a Deputy Sheriff with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. While at the Sheriff’s Department he was assigned to the Environmental Crimes Unit where he investigated crimes involving arson, hazardous materials, and explosives. He graduated from the FBI Hazardous Devices School and is currently a Bomb Technician, Hazardous Materials Technician and a Colorado State Certified Peace Officer.

Mr. Grove is presently the Coordinator for the Adams and Jefferson County Hazardous Response Authority. This regional authority is responsible for Hazardous Materials response in Adams, Jefferson and Broomfield Counties. As the Coordinator, Mr. Grove has been involved in the training, planning and equipment acquisition for emergency response to terrorism and weapons of mass destruction. He has been involved in the development of first responder programs in the Denver metro area for fire, law enforcement, and emergency medical services. This involvement includes the preparation, submission and administration of homeland security grant programs for the past five grant cycles as well as training in the area of WMD response protocols and equipment.
